Bio filtration storm-water management systems

Greenway designs and installs storm-water management systems that utilize permaculture engineering controls. These controls are developed to utilize the purifying and stabilizing capabilities that organic materials have in nature. Using similar tools, Greenway restors and remediates damaged natural wetlands. We also construct new wetland systems.

Storm-Water: Detention Pond

Storm-Water: Cleaning Outlets

Greenway Installs:

Bio Filters: "living machines," which are made from soil, compost, sand, gravel, stone, & wood. These filters use micro-organisms to clean the leachate from the decomposing waste. Plants play equally critical rolls: clean the filter, provide oxygen, consume nutrients, remove silt, slow the flow, stop erosion and create habitat.

Detention Ponds: Detention Ponds provide slow run off, provide habitat, remove silt and store water for dust control.

Berms: prevent encroachment, provide screening and noise control, contain run off and prevent run-on.

Silt Traps: improve water quality, remove silt and hydrocarbons, provide habitat and create a marsh plant nursery.

We can also create build Silt Fencing, Level Spreaders, Check Dams and Earth Dikes
